Stress due to people constantly being worried about money has been on the rise since the world financial crisis.
Many working class people are saying they are sleeping fitfully, waking up as many as three times a night. This is to be expected as many have lost large portions of portfolios invested in the stock exchange as well as companies downsizing.
A rather startling example of this is when a german billionaire commited suicide due to his business troubles since the financial crisis.
I know i will be trying to avoid these high stress levels by actively using the money saving tips i posted yesterday as well as thinking up more. So take a deep breath, relax and act proactivly.

Seven ways to be thrifty.
I was thinking how I might be able to save some money in the coming year and this is what i have come up with so far.
1. Start getting rid of the unused items i have around the house. Sell them on ebay.
2. Be more energy efficient. With rising energy costs I have decided to do my best to unplug electronics not in use and definately turn lights off when not essential. This simple idea shaved 30%
off my energy bill.
3. Walk more. By simply walking to the local shops i estimate i can save 5% off my fuel bill.
4. Get the best deal. Every year try and update your insurance cover while being on the lookout for a better deal.
5. Control your debt. Try to avoid making new debt and at the same time try pay a little more each month to the debt with the highest interest rates.
6. Cancel that expensive gym contract and instead take up jogging or running.
You can also investigate some exercise routines that you are able to do at home .
7. Pack lunch a few times a week. Try to reduce your lunch time take away bills by packing lunch even if its only two to three times a week.

Did they seriously not see this coming continued
The banks and financial institutions that were all involved in this had many warnings and I wonder why they never contacted the correct people to warn them?
Perphaps they did, maybe thier pleas fell on deaf ears?
In South Africa the minister of finance brought in a credit act in june 2006. This act made strict laws to disallow reckless money lending.
Strangley enough, South Africa seems to be less effected by the financial crisis at the moment and I am sure its due to the credit act.
I have even read that now other countrys are reading the credit act of South Africa so they can implement thier own.

Did no one in the worlds major goverments seriously see this coming?
The world financial crisis is seen as a sudden surprise by many. Lets be serious, this has been a long time in the making since the bubble burst in silicone valley years ago.
In the 90's when many started realising that it was unrealistic for an internet startup to raise millions of dollars for little more then having a website and a
idea, it soon became clear to some caution and good old fashioned hard work was needed to survive.
Today most of the company's that adopted this cautious approach are still in business and are major players.
So it seems there were warnings to be cautious on borrowing what seemed to be an endless supply of money.
I guess they thought money really does grow on trees. More on this later.
